Tube Settler Media

Inclined-plate media used in clarifiers to increase effective settling area and reduce clarifier footprint.

Chevron Type Media

AIRFIN Tube Settler Media is a highest-quality inclined-plate settling media designed to increase effective settling area in clarifiers and sedimentation tanks. Available in two types — Chevron (12 m²/m³) and Square (14 m²/m³) — the media significantly reduces clarifier footprint while improving solids separation performance.

Both types are manufactured from PVC with a wall thickness of 1.1 mm (±0.1) and a 60° lay angle for optimal settling. The Chevron type features a cross-sectional area of 120×44 mm with a surface loading rate of 4–5 m²/m³/hr and operates at temperatures up to 75 °C. The Square type has a 55×55 mm cross-section with vertical heights of 550, 750, and 1000 mm, and operates up to 55 °C.

The Chevron type weighs 62–65 kg per cubic metre for easy handling and installation. The Square type is available with glued or cage-fabricated locking arrangements for structural stability. Both types are available in standard sizes of 500, 750, 1000 mm and more to suit different clarifier geometries.

Tried and tested in more than 5000 locations worldwide with proven results, AIRFIN Tube Settler Media is ideal for primary and secondary clarifiers, water treatment plants, effluent treatment plants, lamella settlers, and capacity upgrades of existing settling infrastructure.
